Hi and welcome to my little space on the world wide web. My name is Dave, I'm 25 and the QTH is Mold, N Wales. I have a 2 year old son named Jack and my long term partner of 6 years is named Jenny.My main hobby is "playing radio" as my partner calls it...! I have been "playing radio" for 10 years now and am still fascinated by it.I wanted to take my hobby of radio one step further and took my M3 Foundation Exam at Southport & District ARC with my friend Andrew M3ZMO last October 07.
My station set up at the home QTH is just VHF/UHF at the moment but hope to get a wire for HF up soon. I have an Icom IC-706MK2G and an LDG AT-200 Pro with a G5RV which I set up on the mountain when static. I also have the Icom IC-E92 D-Star Handheld, Icom IC-E7 handheld, Yaesu FTM-10E and a Yaesu 817ND. I have a dual band mobile 2m,70cm hi-gain antenna on the car and a 2/70 Watson W-300 at home.
I have also recently created a radio forum called QSO UK www.QSOUK.com. The forum is now in its second year with members from all over the world and I am pleased to say we have just purchased the domain for this year... My aim with the forum is to have a main information point where people can talk about any radio topic, problems and more.
I am a member of three Radio Clubs and try to go to them as often as I can. I am studying for the 2E Intermediate course (on hold due to moving QTH) at the North Wales Radio Society, Colwyn Bay and have bought an ATU kit (Elecraft T1) to build which will be my practical on the test.

RAF Fairford 2008 is on 12/13th July which is next weekend. I am very much looking forward to going again. Last year we had a great day out and this year we hope to have an even better one. We are going to be taking a BBQ for our tea as when the Airshow finishes about 18.30 its manic trying to get off the field. Last year we were stuck for four hours waiting to get off and this year we plan not to do the same!
